Samui weather in August

I was on Samui for the first time, and by chance a trip to August turned up at a good price. The island greeted us with the sun peeking out from behind the clouds and a warmth of 32 C, but it felt more, apparently due to the humidity. The ocean was almost a bathtub 30 C, sometimes it was restless and exciting. One night there was a terrible downpour with the wind, and in the morning it was gone. The vacation was memorable for the sea of fruits, the mesmerizing ocean and the good-natured locals.

I enjoyed my August holiday here. It was warm, sunny and mostly dry. For August, 34-35 degrees is the norm. That’s why I was even happy when the clouds rolled in, that I could hide from the sun for a while. In the sea here, by the way, you won’t be particularly cool, the water is +30! Many people were afraid of rain before the trip, but it rained just once or twice - that’s all. Apparently, it rains more in August in some other region of the country.
