My husband and I love to travel; we went to Spain in mid-May 2023. The weather was quite good, the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds most often, the thermometer showed 20-25 degrees Celsius during the day, and 16-18 degrees at night, respectively. We got a lot of pleasure and impressions from the most beautiful place in Europe, perhaps one could even say so. There are many museums, gardens, parks, everything breathes aesthetics and art. May is not a suitable month for water recreation.

I heard a friend’s rave reviews about her holiday in Gran Canaria, and I also became eager to go there on vacation. And while my friend, who went to Spain a couple of years ago, was lucky with the weather for a beach holiday, then I was not so much, and the water for swimming had not yet warmed up too much. But, on the other hand, it was sunny throughout my entire stay, so I could walk around the area around the hotel. I concluded that summer is best for a beach holiday, and in April the weather can be either warm or cool enough to spend time on the beach.

We vacationed in Spain in May in Lloret de Mar. The choice for this place was not accidental; I really wanted to go on vacation to Spain. And our dream came true in mid-May 2023. The weather didn't exactly please us. The temperature during the day was no higher than +23 degrees, and a slight breeze was constantly blowing. You should always have something warm with you (jacket, light jacket). Ideal weather for excursions. For active recreation there are many restaurants, bars, night clubs. Mid-May is not the time for a beach holiday in Lloret de Mar, because... The sea temperature is only +16 degrees. Although you can always come to the shore, lie down and enjoy its noise. If you are a fan of beach holidays, then you should visit Lloret de Mar in Spain in the summer, and May is the time to enjoy the beauty and comfort.

Together with my colleagues and friends we went on vacation to Tenerife. This is, of course, not the right season for a beach holiday, because the water was still cool. But overall, we were very pleased with the trip. We didn’t want to stay in the hotel; we went on excursions and walked a lot. We went on beach picnics several times. The temperature was spring and quite warm. The entire week of vacation was cloudless, without rain or cold wind, and the sun was quite warm. But in the evening, of course, it became cool. Overall, not bad, it was a vacation.

Last year in March I vacationed in Menorca. At this time, the island is not yet so warm that you can swim in the sea and sunbathe on the beach from morning to night. But still, if you really want to, you can buy a little. There is practically no rain, it is sunny all the time. You can walk and admire the local nature. The island is very beautiful and there are not many tourists at this time. Generally speaking, I liked everything. I recommend!

The month of June in Alicante is not as hot as one might imagine. For five days of our holiday the temperature was 25°C, and then rose to 30°C. Therefore, if you want to warm your bones well, it is better to come in the second half of the month. The sea is not exactly warm, 23°C near the shore, and then it’s cooler. The beach itself has a good sunset, I love those. I liked that everywhere was free and not crowded, it was clear that it was not the peak season.

I advise everyone to travel here in May. Starting from mid-summer, prices almost double in comparison with the end of spring. Everything is more expensive, even food and excursions are becoming more expensive. And in May, relaxation is no worse. Probably the only negative that you can think of is that the water is still a bit cold. But this is also +17 degrees. As for me, swimming like this is tolerable, but it is refreshing. The air warms up to +21-23. Sometimes there were rains with thunderstorms, but not particularly prolonged.

The weather is excellent at this time, but, of course, not for swimming in the sea. The water is 15 degrees, the beaches are mostly empty. Although, my friends and I had picnics on the beach. The sun is already warming up nicely, you can sunbathe a little and wander around in the water. Especially on those days when the temperature rose to +18-20. The rest of the time, a heated swimming pool helps) Moreover, our goal was to fly to Europe, see the sights and take a break from routine for little money, and not swim in the sea.

Last year I attended the May holidays in Barcelona. The weather was wonderful all days. Sunny, partly cloudy during the day, which did not interfere with walks at all, air temperature up to 22 degrees. It was gloomy and cloudy for several days, but it never rained. Very comfortable weather for walking around the city and visiting attractions. There was practically no nighttime temperature difference: minimum 18 degrees.

Last year I had a vacation in May and I decided to fly to the Canary Islands, or rather Tenerife. This island captivated me with its beautiful landscapes. The weather was great, warm during the day, but not hot, cooler in the evening. It was possible to swim in the ocean, but not for long, since the water does not warm up much at this time. There is practically no rain here. A very beautiful place to relax. I highly recommend it to everyone.
