Marmaris weather in May

Good day! I would like to share my impressions of the May weather in Marmaris. I was able to take a vacation only in May. I flew with a friend. The temperature was within +20 - +25. The departure was on May 17th. We were on vacation for 10 days. By the end of the holiday we managed to catch a couple of warm days. The first half of the holiday was cloudy and cool. Sometimes it rained. We didn’t swim in the sea (temperature was about +20). We were ready for this, so we planned various excursions and water parks (I recommend visiting Marmaris Atlantis Suparki). We spent a week in Marmaris and had mixed impressions. It rained for half of the holiday, the air temperature was around +20-23°C during the day, and +17-18°C at night. For most of the second half the weather was good, within the temperature range of +24-27°C. You can only swim in the water park; the sea is quite cool, still +18°C. In general, the weather did not greatly affect the mood of the holiday; the hotel had a heated swimming pool.

When we went to Turkey in May, I knew that their swimming season officially begins in June, but in June I can have a good rest here too. In general, I wanted to extend my summer and went to Marmaris in May. I don’t really like sweltering heat, and +25 is just not too hot to walk around the city and go on excursions, but it’s not too cold to swim either. The water is 20 degrees. It rained once in 10 days, we are happy.
