Turkey weather reviews

I was in Turkey in the city of Oludeniz in May last year. I liked it there, the weather was great. During my stay there was practically no cloudy weather, the sun was shining all the time. The day was warm, but not hot. The temperature did not drop below 20, but did not rise to 30. For me, such conditions are simply ideal. It was a little cool at night, but not critical. The sea was always warm, you could swim at any time of the day.

I don't like heat, so I try to visit resorts in the fall. I vacationed in the town of Kusadasi in the first half of September. Throughout the entire period the weather was excellent: not a single rainy day, not a single cloud. During the day the temperature was about 30 degrees Celsius, and at night it dropped to +19. It was comfortable to swim, sunbathe and walk. The sea warmed up perfectly to +24. The humidity here is moderate and is not felt as much as, for example, in Antalya. A week after I left, the weather deteriorated and the autumn rains began.

We recently arrived from Turkey (we celebrated the New Year there). Of course, we knew that it wouldn't be particularly hot. During the day the air temperature was +20-22, in the evening 17-19. There is a slight wind, but not significant. The water temperature is 24. During the day we could even sunbathe and swim, but in the evening we had to warm ourselves up. We took thin jackets with us, that was enough for us. In general, you can safely relax. Especially for those who cannot stand the heat.

I went to Bodrum in January. I don’t like the cold, so I decided to spend at least part of the harsh Russian winter where it is more or less warm. The temperature in the city remained at 17 degrees. Sometimes a little more, rarely less than 17 degrees. This is a very comfortable temperature. Neither cold nor hot, just what you need. The city itself is very beautiful, although small. Someday I will fly to Bodrum on vacation again.

We flew to Turkey in the second half of April. Cappadocia is already popular this month. The weather was generally pleasant with sunshine +17-21°C, although by the end of the vacation it was windy for several days, the temperature dropped to +14-16°C. In the evening you need to dress warmly, the cold is noticeably felt at about +11°C. Stunning terrain, of course, rocks, caves, in general, we visited many exciting excursions and took bright photographs.

Istanbul is a unique city that is located on two continents, imbued with centuries-old history. In February, the weather here is cool, with daytime temperatures ranging from 5°C to 12°C, which is not always conducive to long walks in the fresh air. For shopping lovers, it is recommended to visit the Laleli area. There are products of lower quality here, but their prices are much lower. Most of the sellers on Laleli speak Russian, which makes communication and shopping easier for tourists from Russian-speaking countries.

We vacationed with my family in October in Istanbul. According to the weather, it is believed that this is the beginning of autumn. The air temperature at this time drops significantly, the average amount of precipitation increases. While Istanbul in general is still relatively warm and pleasant, it is much colder and wetter than the summer months and is no longer beach weather. The average temperature in Istanbul in October is 16°C, the maximum is only 19°C. The highest temperature may be 35°C, so perhaps you can still sunbathe a little, but overall this is not the best time for a beach holiday in Istanbul. When the temperature drops, the sea also cools down. The average sea temperature in October is 18 degrees. The days are also shortened, with an average of only 7 hours of sunshine each day.

It has become a good tradition for us to go on vacation to Turkey in October. We went to Kemer for two years in a row, but last year we preferred Fethiye. If we have already had slight frosts in Yakutsk, then in Turkey it is summer. For several days it was not just warm, but even hot, so we tried to spend the daytime hours at the hotel. We got great pleasure from the sea; not only was it warm, it was also clean, without waves, and surprisingly there weren’t many tourists. We went on two excursions, which we bought at a good price from the locals. Every evening we dined in restaurants on the coast overlooking the sea, which gave the holiday some romance, although we have been living with my husband for almost 15 years))
