Coming from rainy and cool Minsk, I would never have thought that I would plunge into real summer. I was simply amazed that at that time in Valencia the thermometer rose to +30 degrees. There are a lot of tourists in the city, people wear shorts and T-shirts, there is laughter, joy and smiles everywhere. It felt like I was on another planet)) Well, that’s not all, the water temperature in the Mediterranean Sea was consistently above 20 degrees, which I was incredibly happy about. An indelible impression was made by a boat trip with dinner at sunset, which gave me simply incredible emotions, like the whole vacation in general.
Weather reviews
Belgrade made a mixed impression on me. On the one hand, it is clear that the city is developing, trying to be modern, but on the other hand, it is still firmly rooted in the socialist past. I was in the Serbian capital at the beginning of April and I was definitely unlucky with the weather, because... it was damp, rainy and windy. The temperature was above zero, but it felt like only a few degrees. I wanted to see a lot of different sights, visit beautiful places in the vicinity of the city, but in the end I didn’t even see half of what I had planned. In general, I can say that it did not evoke any amazing emotions and I have no desire to return there.
If anyone seriously believes that the weather has no bad weather, then Welcome to Fujairah at the end of April. As often happens, we were tempted by a last-minute ticket, the cost of which was almost two times lower than in December. As a result, we got up to +40 during the day, strong winds and stuffy nights. There was no question of a normal holiday in such conditions, and swimming in the overly warm Gulf of Oman did not bring any pleasure. Almost all the time we were irritated, dissatisfied and simply regretted that we had chosen this time for the trip. We felt comfortable only in local malls, but they were not the purpose of our trip.
I really wanted to visit Issyk-Kul in the summer, but due to work issues I was able to go only in early September and was most worried about the weather. Most of my fears turned out to be unfounded, but certain nuances were still present. I went for 10 days from September 5 to 15, and if in the first days of my vacation there was still truly summer weather, then after the 10th it got a little colder and swimming in the lake became less comfortable. In addition, there was wind and there was light rain for two days. In relatively bad weather, I stayed at the hotel and underwent various procedures, which are of high quality and reasonable prices. Still, I recommend everyone to plan a trip from early July to mid-August.
I had a chance to visit many cities of the former Soviet Union and I can say with confidence that Baku is one of the most colorful of them. Mid-spring is a great time to stroll along its old streets, drink delicious tea or coffee, experience all the hospitality of the local population (albeit a little intrusive) and simply soak up the incredible atmosphere of this wonderful place. But I want to warn you right away that it can be cool, especially in the evening, so instead of T-shirts, skirts and dresses, it is better to take something warmer. And don’t forget an umbrella, otherwise short-term sudden rains can ruin your mood a little.
Doha was a real discovery for us. We spent the Christmas holidays there and did not regret at all that we had chosen this particular direction. The city greeted us with warm weather, without rain. We thought it would be too hot, so we took a lot of summer clothes, but in the evening, and for two days and during the day, it was quite cool, so the tracksuits that we took with us at the last moment turned out to be just in time. The only place where it was relatively hot was the desert. We decided not to miss the opportunity to see the local dunes and bought a jeep excursion from the locals. The place is truly magical and bewitching; in four hours we got so many emotions that it would last for more than one month.
We planned our trip to Dubai in such a way as to spend several days in Doha. Before this, all that was known about Qatar was that the World Cup was being held there and we had certain expectations from this country, but they were not at all justified. First of all, I didn’t like the weather: on the one hand, the sun was shining and it was quite comfortable, but the constant winds and high humidity simply unsettled me. Walking around the city was out of the question, so we got around by taxi. The local population cannot be called friendly; they smile only when they understand that they can get something out of you, for example, sell unnecessary things at astronomical prices ((
It has become a good tradition for us to go on vacation to Turkey in October. We went to Kemer for two years in a row, but last year we preferred Fethiye. If we have already had slight frosts in Yakutsk, then in Turkey it is summer. For several days it was not just warm, but even hot, so we tried to spend the daytime hours at the hotel. We got great pleasure from the sea; not only was it warm, it was also clean, without waves, and surprisingly there weren’t many tourists. We went on two excursions, which we bought at a good price from the locals. Every evening we dined in restaurants on the coast overlooking the sea, which gave the holiday some romance, although we have been living with my husband for almost 15 years))
Andalusia is simply incredible. If you have never been to this region before, then I advise you to definitely come here, and not for 1-2 days, but for at least 5-6. In this case, you will have the opportunity not only to enjoy the beauty of this place, but to truly fall in love with it. We went to Malaga on the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays and I can say without exaggeration that we managed to visit a real fairy tale. The weather did not disappoint, but I note that it is not suitable for a beach holiday. During the day it was around 12-15 degrees, so it was not in vain that we took light jackets and tracksuits. But in the evening the wind rose and it became quite cool. Such conditions are ideal for all kinds of excursions, hiking, and exploring local cuisine (in the fresh air). But as always, we didn’t have enough time... So we will definitely come back again!
This was not my first time in Moscow, but this trip was dedicated exclusively to getting to know religious sights. I planned my five-day tour for April based on weather conditions, i.e. so that it is not very cold, but not hot either. I can say that the daytime air temperature around +15 completely suited me, besides, the sun was shining and there was no rain. I managed to see the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, St. Basil's Cathedral, the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation Cathedrals, the bell tower of Ivan the Great and some other places. The atmosphere in the temples was simply incredible, I received such a strong charge of emotions that I simply cannot find words to describe. Novgorod the Great is next!
